Roger Federer again; has won the Wimbledon Championship to stake a very strong claim for 'All-Time Great" tag. Even if his detractors say, "He won because Nadal was not around", that was not Federer's fault. We also must remember Nadal dominated 2008 and also snatched the Australian Open title from Federer when Roger was not fully out of the fatigue caused by Infectious Mononucleosis.
The fact that he has made 20 successive Grand-slam Semifinals and also won 15 of the 20 Finals he entered stands testimony to his consistency and greatness. Though my heart went out to Roddick today, I am happy for Roger! Roddick definitely was the better player today. Ultimately in a nerve-racking decider of 30 games, the difference was the "Last Two Points". That was the only time Federer managed to brake Roddick's service and that was enough for him. This is what makes Great Champions. They know when to give that something extra that makes them Extraordinary!
